Expressing some love and hate at Kåren

Angelica is kindly hosting Scribbling while we're off in the Islamic Republic that is Iran :)

She'll be expressing her love and hate in the kvällspub at Kåren with pens, pencils and finger paints. Drop in if you'd like to join in.

The pub is open as usual so you can have a meal and a drink and then get down to the serious business of creating! For 20sek we provide you with paper, inspiring books and drawing materials. You just have to provide a little imagination :)

Any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch!

The great escape!

Hello scribblers!

As most of you know - the gang and I are leaving for Iran on Saturday. We'll be away for a week and consiquently miss the next scheduled Scribble meeting... so, if you want to scribble next week, it's up to you to organise it!

If anyone is interested in holding the meeting, I can make sure that all the arrangements are made before we go. Then we can have a little meeting ad we can talk through how it all works.

The meeting would be held in the Kåren pub on Thursday the 20th Maj, between 7 and 11 pm.

Mail me if you want to take control :D

Bringing some COLOUR to Kåren

Hello peeps!

It's time for another colourful evening in Kåren. This time we are going to play with some real paints . We will have all the usual stuff, but I will also bring along some of my own paints and brushes.

We have two goals:

1 - lets try and fill up some of the canvases we have started this term. I believe we now have four half full canvases. We can scribble on with pens, markers and some lovely paints.

2 - Kåren has asked me to paint something on the 'piano' wall. We've discussed something with "people enjoying themselves". We can do some sketches and bounce arround some ideas.

As usual, it will cost 20sek to take part. The pub is open, so you can come, eat, and have a drink while you're scribbling!

If you have any questions just get in touch!

A night on the tiles.

Another wonderful evening with the scribblers. I think the pub is the place to be! There was no particular theme for the evening, just being a student, in the pub. Great results! We finally got one for the cieling plates painted! And one for hiking club too. An evening well spent methinks.

Monday 19 April 2010

To celebrate student week at MDH (Hela Studenten, Hela Vägen) the Scribbling Society will be taking over Kåren again!

Forget the road, we're talking about the whole wall! On Thursday night we'll throw up a fresh canvas so that you, the learning ones, can illustrate your experiences.

As always, it cost 20sek to participate, and your materials are provided. The kvällspub is open as usual so there is beer and food to be had while you're working :)

Hope to see you there!

Triple whammy.

Week numbers are something I have only experienced in Sweden. But Sweden we are in, so lets talk about week 16.

Firstly we have something not quite Scribbling Society related. Tomorrow (Monday) my first ever solo exhibition opens to the public. Thanks to KAOSgruppen and ABF. Me, Linda, Tobias and Matilda spent Saturday afternoon hanging 17 colourful portraits outside ABF's new office on the second floor in CuLTUREN. Naturally, it is free to go and have a look. The paintings will be there untill the end of week 21 and hopefully I will be able to hang out there at least once a week. Check the KAOSblog for more details.

Secondly, on Tudesday Mälardalens högskola is holding a Studentmässa which means little ol' me and the Scribbling goodies will be present in the main enterance with a plethora of other students. We'll have free scribbles on offer :)

And thirdly, on Thursday evening we'll be scribbling in the Kårpub again. Watch out for an event poster later today!

A bottle top giraffe... and chocolate cake!

...we ate the chocolate cake, hence the lack of pictures. Thanks for baking Sara! We also made some get well soon cards for the tattooed one and sent the giraffe to Mr Ola Helland for his ever growing collection. Rather nice evening though I say it myself!

Scribblers in Kåren!

Hello all,

Life has been incredibly hectic for the last month or so, and it is going to be so for at least another few weeks as I am entering exam period and in the process of moving into a smaller apartment (HELP!!!)

Anyway, we have been scribbling regular as clockwork, and here are a couple of photos from last Thursday's visit to Kåren!

Toodle pips,

Improvisation

Join the dots became impromptue felt pen tattooing! Thanks all for a wonderful evening :)

Join the dots

Hello peeps,

Due to popular demand, this time we will be playing 'join the dots'. To make things a little more imaginative we all start with a blank paper, draw some dots and then give it to someone else to make a picture! If you want, bring some pre-dotted papers with you. No previous creative experience is required, just a positive attitude :)

As always, materials and fika will be included, and there will be an 'honesty jar' by the sink. Please be considerate and deposit 20 of your hard earned crowns in it so we can maintain our materials (and refreshments) for future meetings.

The meeting is open to all, and you are free to bring your own refreshments.

Comments, questions, suggestions? Don't hesitate to get in touch!

Crazy Training

Hej kiddos,

Thanks to those of you who came last night for a nice relaxed evening.

Things are a bit chaotic at home at the moment with some major renovations, so it'll be awhile before I manage to post any pictures, but they'll come when I have them :) Otherwise, thanks for your participation and keep your eyes open about the next event!

Jump aboard the crazy train!

First of all - a big thanks to Constance for taking over the organisation of this meeting!

Secondly... woooohooooo, lets draw trains!

We'll be working in collaboration with Oppy from www.thescribbleproject.com to create a gigantic train. She has draw the carriages and we just have to fill them in. Check out http://www.thescribbleproject.com/index.php?/the-scribble-project/big-team-scribble/ for some pre -scribbling instructions. We'll have a load of pages ready printed for you to have a scribble on.

As always - feel free to scribble something else if this doesn't take your fancy!

I thought that for this meeting we can also try an 'honesty jar' for your 20 krowns instead of everybody having to find me (or Constance) at the beginning of a meeting. The jar will be kept with the fika things by the sink. Please do the right thing and drop your money in there at some point in the evening! It's your pennies that keep this thing running. I'm also going to leave a book for suggestions with Constance. If you'd be so kind as to write some in there it would be much appreciated.

Tea, coffee and biscuits and drawing materials are provided, feel free to bring your own drinks and snacks aswell. Oh! And you can drop in at any time during the evening, it is not essential to be there from the beginning!

And always, comments and questions are welcome :)

Problems next week :(

Hello kiddlywinks,

I'm afarid we're looking at a problematic week next week. I have lectures and meetings all day on Tuesday and Thrusday and busy both Monday and Wednesday night... so that means no Scribbling... UNLESS, someone could volunteer to take charge of things on Tuesday evening (the room is already booked)?

The suggested theme was 'join the dots' but I also thought it might be fun to do this...http://www.thescribbleproject.com/index.php?/the-scribble-project/big-team-scribble/

Please let me know by this Thursday night if anyone wants to play mamma and I can let Hubert know we still need the room. We can meet and I can talk everything through with you at the end of this week, or the weekend if anyone is willing :)

Take care!
Hugs from Clover
